It’s weekly weigh in time again. This week I decided to post my weekly weigh in on Wednesday so that I could actually give myself a little prep time for checking my weight and reviewing my pattern for the previous week. Doing the weigh ins on Mondays, on the actual day that I weigh in, was just a little too constraining. So, you’ll start to see all of my weigh in posts on Wednesdays to help me stay a bit more organized. It’ll also give my posts some #WeightLossWednesday tag love. 🙂
Now for the details. My weigh in was a little scary this time because I’d spent the week moving a little more than the previous weeks. I really wanted to see a nice difference in the pound shed this week and the anticipation was messing with me. I stepped on the scale to find a two pound difference this week, making my overall weight loss 5 pounds. That’s half of my short term weight loss goal, so I’m pretty pleased.
What I did differently.
I used only 10 of my weekly smart points this week. I wanted to use as few of them as possible to see if it helped. I’m sure that it did help some, but it’s hard to tell if that was the sole ticket to my extra pound loss for this week considering there were a couple of different things I did differently.
I also did some walking. I used Apple Health to track my steps, which imports all of the info right into the Weight Watchers App. That makes it so easy for me! So, using the app, three days last week I went walking outside in the nice weather, and one day I did my Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred vid. The shred vid didn’t import fit points, but each 30 minute program is worth about 2 fit points.
I didn’t exercise on the weekends and I did skip one day during the week.
What I plan to do this week.
This week’s plan is to drink less Matcha Green Tea. I’m planning to replace it a couple of days with a Moringa breakfast smoothie (recipe in one of our Instagram videos shown below). Like Matcha, Moringa is an energy booster and an antioxidant. It’s also good for increasing breast milk production and for use as a diuretic when added to carrot juice.
I also plan to move a little each day this week. Weight Watchers gives you fit point goals to reach so I’m challenging myself to reach my fit goal this week as well.
Another part of my plan is to continue using as few of the weekly smart points as possible. There’s another birthday next week so I’ll likely dip into those extra points that week. I want to have a weight loss boost this week since I’m anticipating that I may not in the upcoming week.
Well, that’s my round up for week three of my weight loss journey using Weight Watchers. Hopefully I’ll have at least another two pounds to report next Wednesday. We’ll see!
