When I’m out seeking new vintage jewelry pieces, sometimes I hit a dead end, but then there are those other times when I can actually scream, “Jackpot!”
This past weekend, I was cruising around looking for some things I could add to my collection, and I ran across beautiful.
Mucho fashion jewelry.
Not costume, mind you, because I don’t play dress up.
I wanted to jump in it; there was so much to sort through. So I made up my mind that it was going to be a “haul” day.
Okay, so my husband thinks I’m crazy because when I see something super lovely that I absolutely want to take home to my collection, I kind of stand there gazing at it with sort of a paralyzed smile.
No time for that when he’s around. He’s one who’s going to move along pretty quickly, but I was not going anywhere without staking my claim. Here are just a few of the items I brought home with me.
Okay, it was more than a few. It probably would have been more.
But, Mr. Grumpy Pants was ready to move on. Good thing I didn’t put up a fuss because all but five minutes after we moved along, I ended up finding this.
Ooh la la, Mama! There was that paralyzed smile. Oh yes. This was going to be a haul that would make you want to slap your mama (country gal figure of speech, guys).
Ever see something and instantly imagine all the things you could wear with it?
Well, I was looking at these and visualizing my entire self dressed in silver. I could just about see myself looking in the mirror with all of my Tiffany splendor, Yes, Ma’am!
There was so much more, but I had to use self control. A shame, I know, but it’s something we all have to exercise at some point. So, some of that beauty had to stay right where it was. Smh.
